It's probably very un-pc to have a "tower" burger since 9/11.

(picture stolen from Chris Bloom)

I've got a hot KFC date tomorrow night. The Tower Burger is back! This thing is the McRib of the southern hemisphere: a gastronomical Halley's Comet whose return is the harbinger of something wonderful--getting to eat a Tower Burger.

Not that I've had one before, but the advertisements are very convincing, and I have heard some excitement coming from trustable Australians. In case you can't tell from the amazing photo, this thing's got a chicken fillet, cheese, lettuce and tomato, and (wait for it) a HASH BROWN. A hash brown right there in the sandwich!

So yeah, as you can tell I've got a lot of exciting stuff going on. Hence the lack of recent updates. Life's still very nice, and 2009 is still the best. Still not a bad day yet. Plus I've got the cushiest job of my life.

The only sour spot is that I turn 26 this weekend, and who needs that? I am very grateful to decadent Western culture and its decree that 30 is the new 20. This has been a good year for personal growth, and I look forward to many more.

That burger looks amazing. But I think anything would look amazing after the food I have had to endure.
